Deep dark purple with a wide brim and long legs. Cherries and blueberries are immediately striking on the nose. Black tea, earth, and cloves. Spice is all over this CdP from beginning to end.
Full bodied with some depth that makes it interesting. Robust tannins here with smooth acidity and a decidedly fruity core. Raspberry and cherry on the tongue with a slight herbal note. A well made Chateauneuf that over delivers for the price point.

This 2013 bottle was lovely. Had a fruity aroma and which was then backed up by its flavour. A pleasant after taste meant that you always wanted to go back for another sip!
