Starting to show tertiary aromas. Very robust tannins still, good acidity. Very coarse sediment, no need to decant. Winemaker’s notes: A rare variety in both Bordeaux and California, Petit Verdot produces rich, dense wines with aromas of cassis and intense flavors of ripe blackberry. Grown in the Mann vineyard in Gilroy California. Petit Verdot 87%, Merlot 13% barrel-aged for 30 months in three-year-old American oak.
