Ripe, plum jam and creamy mocha but the palate is disappointing. Gritty and direct tannin that feels fairly unripe. There's no juiciness to the wine, the acid collapses at once and leaves you with a tar concentrate. I know there is a time and place for bombastic barossa Shiraz but this doesn't capture any elegance, balance or even flavour intensity really
