A bit too funky for my taste. Has a strong breadiness.

Tasted double blind. Horrible, austere, on the verge of being undrinkable. My guess: a cabernet/merlot blend from a terrible, mass-producing winery. J.P. Chenet perhaps?
Unbelievable that this is being made in Bordeaux by a respected producer in a vintage as good as 2016, even though this is the generic wine.

Hard to beat for ten bucks. Definitely a lot more red fruits than the typical Bordeaux. 2016 is a great vintage and this is no exception for the price point.

Have been drinking this wine for several yrs and includes several vintages. My first 2016 opened on Nov 2018. Opinion unchanged. Buy now, drink now, or wait 5-10yrs! Sort of young but full bodied, dry and very good. Bit of coffee, black cherry and ting of tannins. Will stock up! By the way, medium rare rib eye with grilled Brussels sprouts goes well. Enjoy!!!! Also a good buy at $10.
