This wine has a deep purple hue with developing notes of crème de cassis, blackberry, black cherry; also pencil shavings, cedar, tobacco, toast, clove, black olive, forest floor, and leather.
Tannins are fine grain, velveteen, and smooth.
It’s not a fruit bomb, but it’s a pop-and-pour; delicious today with potential for further aging.
