Deep ruby in color with a brick rim.
Nose of blueberries, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, tobacco leaf, spices, graphite, bitter vegetables and black pepper.
Full bodied with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, cloves, tobacco, coffee, spices and peppercorn.
Medium finish with soft tannins and tart raspberries.
This Israeli Merlot is drinkable, but not for me. Unbalanced and simple. Better with food than just by itself. A little harsh on the palate with a tart ending.
Grapes are grown in the upper Galilee region and aged in oak barrels. Kosher.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
