Not what I would consider a true or standard expression of Pinot, it actually tastes more like a soily Merlot blended with a grape that has a more juice black berry and plum profile like a Syrah or grenache. Also there is a hint of dates in the flavor as well. Interesting wine. Not necessarily going to hit the spot if you're looking for traditional Pinot but good for something different, very drinkable and enjoyable in its own right.
