Our Christmas Eve wine was the 2012 Barbero's Barbera D'Alba Granata. This was a big hit which was enjoyed by all.

On the nose there were nice red fruit, cherry, raspberry, plum, spice, smokey oak, and dry soil.

The palate gave notes of tart black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, licorice, spice, dried leaves, lavender, and graphite.

This wine is medium bodied with medium + acidity, and medium soft tannins with a long pleasing finish.

Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Light with that hint of tingle within a d'Alba. Perfect go-to that complements most any meal.
