A little more palate weight than the AS de Mirabrás, but perhaps less saline. Heaps of apples and a slightly bitter finish. Like the Mirabrás, the bottle condition wasn’t the best, with an oxidative petrol note permeating the nose (premox). Overlooking this, some on the table had the Sabalo as the wine of the tasting. My vote would have gone to the AS de Mirabrás if I could have overlooked the flaws.
