I haven't spent a lot of time with Spatelese harvest Riesling, so I thought it's about time to experiment with the later harvests. This one was a surprising one! Mineral and rubbery on the nose, following with notes of white flowers, honey suckle, white pepper, and sweet Meyer lemon. The pallet was perfectly balanced between its acid and sugar - soft and rounded exhibiting flavors of white peach, ripe mango and cantaloupe, crushed wet slate, and a soft finish of key lime. Very refreshing, and never cloying. For about $20, this was perfect for the evening. This is one i would serve to anyone.
