Lidl. Blackberry blackcurrant plum. Ripe. Biscuit. No vanilla. Taste is cherry and biscuit with lots of lovely tannin. Looking forward to trying a less cheap Douro

well made, great example of a fresh fairly young douro red at a budget price. amazing all the varietals that go into making these wines, same as port.

A bit too acidic for the first half hour, but then it gets rounder. Not a stunning wine (and not as good as its white cousin), but definitely worth the price (around €3.5, exclusively at LIDL).
