Love this Barbera/Merlot blend. Just amazing depth on the nose. So expressive. Red plum, black plum, red berries, huge fruit and a skoche of earth. Some nice florals. What a great wine. Palate is fresh, focused and clear. Lovely, tangy red berry fruit and great freshness and lift. Finishes very mineral. Terrific combo of richness and freshness. Great character, intensity and grip. What a value.

Feb 5th, 2022Big grapey nose. Lovely berry fruit and big minerals. As air opens the aromas become really really intriguing and expansive. Lovely core of minerals and soil tones. Really nice. In a great spot aromatically. Really really in your face gutsy minerals. Palate is soft and lush with very nice sweet fruit. Big but ripe and suave tannins. Concentrated and structured, this has real lift and energy. Complex and seeks like it will age a decade more. Terrific wine.
After air mega improvement. 9.3 to 9.4. A freak show. Mega concentrated and long. Super. Mineral. Like Mauves st. Jo. Nose is incensey/herbal/berry consommé, superbly mineral. Balanced, pure and very fresh. Just amazingly pure and explosive.
