Beautiful transparent ruby red and a rather promising fruity, floral nose. In the palate the intense red fruited bouquet ends rather quickly and doesn't explode like many Baroli do. It disappoints somewhat. Still, Iit's a good expression of Nebbiolo with wood strawberries, red currant, wild roses and some underbrush. But it does not have the deepness and richness that can - and should - be found in "Capalot", as I felt it recently in Alberto Burzis' Barolo (2013 and 2015) and also the one from Crissante. Blind, this Barolo could go through easily as a Langhe Nebbiolo. Las but not least, the price is very fair: under 30$.
