BYOB blind. Not obviously amarone. Despite 16%, age had integrated the alcohol nicely. Pretty wine.

Do you question how 15.5% can be balanced? Here it is. It's not often anymore that I drink wines that reach these levels but this is very special. Never heavy or overdone. Still showing amazing fruit and purity. Paired beautifully with osso buco and saffron risotto. Thanks @Antonio Galloni for the review way back when.

This wine still has life after 22 years. The bold dried red fruit and acidity remain while the tannins have dissipated almost entirely.

Woooow! Super velvety nose! Perfectly balanced, tobacco, chocolate, amarene cherries and little smoky!
