Posaú Dolceacqua Rossese
Dolceacqua, Liguria, Italy
So good. Just picked cherry and plum. A little cherry ludens and menthol. White pepper spice. Light, boujoulais character with a touch of Italian red fruit elegance. A complete wine, seductive and perfect to drink with a slight chill.

100% Rossese di Dolceaqua (grape from Provence, originally from Greece) from San Biagio della Cima, Liguria. Biodynamic, indigenous yeast, no added sulfites, 6000 bottles produced. 20km to the Mediterranean. Funnel effect from mountains. Early morning sea breezes, cool air at night from the Alps. Prominent white pepper, salty, sage, brakish, acidic, manual harvest, free standing bushes on terraces on marine calcareous soil. All stainless steel vats, no wood. Roscioli wine club.

Licorice, grapefruit, and straight up grass after it’s been mowed (I mean! What else you want me to say)
Velvety mouthfeel, well-balanced, a bit of an astringent quality like celery toward the end note. You know, it’s an interesting wine. There are many things going on.
Maybe it needs to open up a bit? It’s got comlexity in the end note but the front end is falling a bit flat for me. Nice mouthfeel, but where the oomph!
Letting it decant for a bit to see how it opens up
