Azienda Agricola La Visciola
Priore Mozzatta Cesanese del Piglio

O wow. I never expected this elegance & depth in a wine from Rome.
Like a v. good Nebbiolo with a touch of southern flair.
Beautiful purity of dark cherry fruit with a touch of southern warmth. Pomegranate? Blood orange? A hint of wilted flowers and some dried herbs. After some time a bit of baked plum and a pinch of spices.
Fine & very enticing. With some warmth yet fresh.
On the palate, this has lightness. No rusticity at all - the finesse & quality of tannins is very Roagna’esque. Beautiful acidity and great depth. Seamless & highly drinkable. What a delight!
