This just does not taste right. No doubt it is made with care, and the gape quality is very high, but modern style winemaking, shared by many others in Piedmont, does not work for Barbera. The aroma has no life and energy, and nothing in reserve. The French oak is suffocating it,

constantly underestimated grape - here presented in perfect condition and showing culinary herbs, ridden saddle leather, autumn foliage and some fruital hints.
a quite adorable old lady!
certainly on a range with a. oberto, braida and vietti's barbera treatment skills, highlighted here the ability to age this low in tannin grape...
