85 xarel-lo, 15 macabeu. 5yrs on the lees. Single vineyard. Vines 80+yrs old. Evidently one of Spains great sparklers.
Aromatically it comes across as ripe, BdB Cali. Nice toasty layers to it. Buttered pastry but not dense. Reminds me of some of the Schramsberg single vineyard sparklers with the ripe spiced apple profile. Airy, not super dense/rich. Fruit must be ripe as this doesn’t come across as a zero dosage like it says it is. Held strong over two days. For $40, no brainer re-buy.

Reminds me of the intense Minerality I've had in some Recaredo, but less austere and with gorgeous fruit.
