Petrol and candied strawberries upfront on the nose with some chocolate coming in later. This is one of the biggest Pinots I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t quite call it varietally incorrect but it ain’t far off. Dense and viscous, there’s an underlying note of something throughout. No, not Burgundian funk. Just funk. The bad kind. Vapid fruit on the palate showcasing cherry jam. Nothing to see here. This ain’t it y’all.
