This is such a complex and deep wine it is hard to pinpoint all of the different flavors, and aromas. It is very satisfying

Some of the darker fruit has ebbed into more subdued red fruited notes. Green tea and white pepper linger in the finish. Interesting.

Unlike last time I had this, the wine was much more complex and layered. Initial big bramble fruit at PnP gave way to more subtle layers with some earth, some oak, and some black pepper spiciness.

Lots of layered fruit still at the front with a touch of spice in the mid range leads me to believe that this was a really nice bottle a few years ago, but the finish is all but non-existent. Day 2 didn’t do this any favors. However, this was still enjoyable just not as good as I remembered. On to the next...

Great wine from a great small winery. The 2012 has definitely become more feminine with higher acidity & red fruit flavors, less jammy flavors that people think of with Zinfandel.

Mar 29th, 2020Drink now if you have any left. The 2010 is still good but the fruit is starting to fade. The acidity is still great. Lovely wine and great with food.
