
This is like 1970s barrel-fermented Cali Chardonnay. Nose is deeply butterscotchy and has a dark mineral tone. The fruit makes an appearance only on the palate, where it shares space with cracked stoney minerals, toasty notes, and musky florals. It’s actually got decent acid balance. This is not for everyone, but I’m enjoying it.
