Argyle Winery Extended Tirage Brut Rosé 2012, Willamette Valley, Oregon

#AgedWineTuesday

Pretty color of peach with a golden hue.

Fruity nose of strawberries, peaches, limes, light grapefruits, light yeast, seaweed, white pepper, crushed oyster shells and minerals.

Medium bodied with medium acidity and small bubbles.

Very dry on the palate with raspberries, strawberries, citrus, lemons, green and red apples, sea salt, minerals, light yeast and white pepper.

Long finish with limes and spices.

This is a gorgeous Sparkling Rosé from Oregon. Elegant and nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Showing a beautiful nose once it opened up. Complex and entertaining.

This 13 year old is drinking beautifully now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Showing good structure and balance.

Needs 30 minutes to open up properly, so be patient. Drinking it with the winemaker made the whole experience even better.

Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.

A blend of 75% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Meunier and 10% Chardonnay. Aged on its lees for 10 years.

12.5% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$100.
