Light cherry cola color in the glass with ruby accents. Really fun nose of fresh red fruits, a good bit of black pepper, herbs, and general earthiness. Very, very Oregon-y. I love Grenache when done right and France and Spain don’t hold monopolies on doing it right. This is done pretty much right. On the palate, darker fruits take precedent along with cut grass, fresh tobacco, licorice, and more pepper. This, to me, is just Oregon wine 101. The most simple, basic representation of what the state has to offer. Certainly not bad but nothing too exciting.
