Sep 12th, 2020Welcome to the barnyard! A forward, but interesting funk on opening. Dissipated after a short decant as the fruit started to shine through but still remained as a point of intrigue on both the nose and the palate. Beautiful translucent ruby color in the glass and loaded with raspberry and wild cherry braced by solid acidity and finishing with that same very slight funk note. Yum.

Jun 23rd, 2018Joe Davis is the Master, this is incredible, one of the best Pinots from CA period. You have to taste it to believe it. Joe doesn't get the press that Ted Lemon etc gets, but Joe did train at Dujac/DRC and his wines are unsurpassed.

Jan 5th, 2018This is big (13.7) and ripe and extracted and tannic and broad shouldered and acidity balanced. Joe makes great wines but this is one of biggest I've had. Wait a decade. The wine deserves it
