A velvety, deep hued wine with a big bouquet of cherry, plum, blackcurrants, and stewed fruits. On the palate it is a typical big Rhone, without anything too distinctive to set it apart - the alcohol is very present, the acidity lively, and the flavours a little muted. I love Rhone, but this sort of missed the bar in being so very average.
