Cup cakes for a life event…

This presents a steep slope in both directions in terms of character and presence. Bright, mineral-driven and just the right amount of acidity and sweetness establishes this as a benchmark in the category.

Compelling and racy.
Vibrant, tense and laser-focused. Piercing acidity which just stops short of overwhelming. This is a model of consistency across vintages.

So many prior notes, I’m not going to go into detail here, but in my mind, there’s a paradox here... Katz (the winemaker) has stripped away the usual embellishments, and produced a minimal, laser-focused SB. The major notes of exotic fruits and acidity ring as clear as a bell. Brilliant.

First drink of the week, and this is certainly a regal way to kick things off!
A lifted, vivid expression of SB. Hard to beat in the $35 range. Stunning layers and complexity. Taught citrus fruits combine with tense acidity. Loving this.
