Antonutti
Collevento 921 Prosecco
When The Wine Gallery stocks a Prosecco, there's a pretty high chance it'll make it into the month's #thetcwineclub box and boy did we hit the jackpot with this one! Both Mr. Spittoon and I loved it!
The Antonutti Collevento 921 NV Prosecco hails from northeast Italy. The grape variety that goes into Prosecco is called 'Glera'. Proseccos are a great match for cheese & charcuterie, sushi & dim sum alongside sandwhiches and fries 🍟 🍱🥖
This beauty is a pale dawn yellow on the eye with a whirlpool of fine sandy looking bubbles in the glass. The nose is full of intoxicating citrus, orchard fruits, vanilla and sherbet. Whilst on the palate it has an 'oh my' silky smooth mousse (mouthful) with gorgeous notes of candied lemon and green grapes - it's crisp, refreshing and delicate in the mouth. As Mr. Spittoon put it; "it's smooth like a James Bond pick up line". Haha! What did you guys think??
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine #tctastingnotes
