So much fun to drink a friend's red. Love the spice and light fruit.

Lush, juicy, and round (in Anthill terms). Very approachable with and without food.

Odd. Bad bottle? No structure to speak of. Huh.

Aging well and no signs of waning. Pronounced acidity, dense chalky mineral, iron, beautiful bing cherry and damp underbrush. Practically perfect, with corned beef, potatoes and cabbage.

Could still use a few more years of cellaring

The various Anthill vineyards produce wonderful wines; but, to my mind, Demuth produces the most complex and food-friendly pinots. The 2012 release is typical: both sour cherry and ollalieberry on the palate, with low alcohol but firm tannins, and a bit of pepper on the finish. This is worth whatever Anthill charges for it!

Light body with this one, but lots of scrumptious strawberry aromas and flavors. Delicious!
