It's been 3-4 years since I tasted Annefield wines. This Viognier has a beautiful classic nose of peaches and apricots. Very rich and round on the palate from lees contact. What pleases me most is the nice lemony acid streak with hints of grapefruit rind that bores through the ripe stone fruit flavors. A pretty decent effort and one of the better Virginia Viogniers that I have tasted in the last 18 months.

Oct 2nd, 2014Nice aromas of citrus zest, melon and white flowers. Flavors of stone fruit such as apricot, white peach and nectarine are rounded out by a medium long flinty finish. Showing well for its age. Nice job Mike and Stephen!
