Fortbeau Côtes du Jura Chardonnay


This wine is good — zippy, racy, snappy, salty, acid-driven, mouthwatering, creamy but fresh, expressive and concentrated, clean, pithy-fleshy fruit balance. Salty pineapples, lemongrass and green peppercorn, lime skins, lemonheads/preserved lemons, oysters. Reminds me of Envinate’s Benje and Palo Blanco. Nice aldehydes without being overly yeasty and nutty. Had with marinated anchovy cacio e pepe, zucchini flowers and orange zest. Killer pairing.
