This is a GSM - a blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre. Arguably drunk a little young. Black fruits, some liquorice - full bodied and firm on the palate. Noticeable oak. Went ok with a medium + heat Lamb Vindaloo.

The winner of the Under $20 Downs Club Red from 47 Wines blind tasted. GSM blends tend to be crowd pleasers and this fitted the bill nicely. Spicy cherry and plum flavours with supple tannins. A great drink now package. Could cellar up to 5 years.

Chosen from a 47 Wine blind tasting to be the new Club Red for the Downs Club to be sold for around $20. Many of them were very similar Cookie Cutter type Wines but this will sell well.
