Nose jumps out right away. Black cherry & floral notes. Full bodied right bank blend. Delicious red fruit with some darker tones lingering. Powerful with precision & concentration. A touch of mocha on the finish. Cab Franc from this vineyard is magical.

Tonight I have opened the 2010 Andrew Will Ciel du Cheval a blend of 52% Merlot and 48% Cabernet Franc. A truly nice wine from Chris Camarda in Vashon, WA. On the nose is a beautifully complex wine with notes of raspberry, plum, strawberry, sweet black licorice, ripe cherry and a pleasant spice. On the palate there is black cherry, blueberry, red plum, licorice and a fresh herb. This is medium bodied with medium + acidity, chewy medium + tannins and a good long pleasing finish.

Super age worthy drink right here that is ONLY going to get better. Pencil shavings, crushed perfumed rose pedals, cocoa powder, oak tannin, minerality, very dusty dark berry. Enjoyable now and in the future.
