Silky smooth x. I remember this x being slightly more reductive with a little more edge.
The aromas are heavy black fruits, wet , saturated, oily, black olive. Color is completely opaque with shiny meniscus. One tone throughout. Flavors are fruit forward with minimal acidity. Tannins came around dusty and minutely after about an hours time. The wine is smooth fro start to finish with sleek, silky textures. Boysenberry, grape, Ever so faint bitterness, almost like Dolmades, and a grapey finish. Opened 1/24/17

Really enjoyed this. Well balanced yet complex and easy to drink on it’s own.

2013v. Dark violet. Dark fruit on the nose. On the palette, there's also a very slight finish of savory notes like black olives. Tasted side by side a bottle of 09 Andrew Rich Pinot noir. Both wines seemed a little flat in the flavor profile-- maybe due to the age on both? Overall not undrinkable but quite boring. 14.1% ABV.

Beautiful full bodied Syrah that is not tannic or overly bright. Dark red fruit and some leathery notes, lingering finish.
