Dark Ruby in color with a red rim.
Light nose of blueberries, plums, green peppers, dirt, cloves, tar, licorice, vanilla, Oak and black pepper.
Medium bodied with high acidity and nice legs.
Dry and tart on the palate with cherries, plums, red currants, cranberries, dirt, vanilla, earth and peppercorn.
Long, tart finish with soft tannins and black pepper.
A very nice blend of 79% Merlot and 21% Barbera. Complex and special, with nice acidity. A good food wine. Drinks nicely now, but needs even more time in the bottle to be more balanced.
Aged for 36 months in French Oak barrels, and after that for 12 months in the bottle.
14.6% alcohol by volume.
