Perhaps the first New Jersey vinifera wine I've had. Dense and extracted. More serious than I expected. American oak is heavy handed and kills the finesse a bit. Nice wine though .

NJ OCP wine. Not the best of the Europa wines meant to pay homage to Bordeaux. This one is supposed to honor Chateau Figeac: 1/3 each Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cab Franc.

Strawberry jam, oak, clove and bay leaf on the nose. Red ripe fruit on the palate with strawberry coming forward, raspberry, American oak, and baking spices. Low acidity and low tannins. At 12% the wine tastes sweet because acidity is missing, which I think could elevate this wine.
On the second day I decided that this is too jam-my for me, and the combination of strawberry jam, bay leaf and American oak made this very hard to drink because I find it very unbalanced.
