Lisboa Alicante Bouschet

This Portugese marvel is a very interesting wine. In the glass you see incredibly intense color with deep purple-burgundy edges. Aroma is rich berry with a earthy overtones. The mouthfeel is velvety and there's this interesting along with spiciness. Theres a surprising fruit-forward character backed by richness yet very light tannins. I will need to try this wine with a steak - it has to be excellent.

Very drinkable. Smooth and tons of berries. A bit on the sweeter side.

Densely colored purple with a blue hued core and translucent cranberry rim. Intensely aromatic nose is dominated by violet and rose petal with an undertone of black pepper and cassis. Medium acid, low astringency, a hint of bitterness, medium alcohol 13%. Mouth filling floral perfume violets and tart red berries. Moderate structure, well balanced, medium finish, medium complexity. the aromatics on nose and palate very attractive

A fine expression of Portuguese Alicante. The High Plains region of Texas has quite a few young plants in the ground, need to arrange a side by side.

Not as dry as expected with sweetness lingering on the finish. Dark fruits and spice make this a smooth complement to food. My first exposure to Alicante Bouschet - would try again occasionally.

Really lovely deep royal purple. Ripe red berries with earthy undertones.
