Turtles Vineyard Syrah

Five years after the vintage, this 2016 is drinking beautifully... Very deep coloring but a light nose of slightly liquered cherry.. On the palate, this one coats the mouth with that cherry flavor, with very integrated tannin. Not overly acidic here, but taking each sip makes me think of roast meat food pairings. Sage and zippy black pepper on medium finish. Very nice.

I kinda liked this one. Very Luxardo cherry on the nose... The palate offers this along with herbal, tobacco, beef jerky, and dry kirsch... Though we enjoyed this one at a Greek restaurant paired with lamb, I can't help but think about what other foods this might pair with... When we see Greek wine, we always think Greek food, but here I don't know if that's the obvious choice. I thought BBQ, but here I might even suggest turkey dinner may be a nice pairing.

Nose not great finish is weak.

Excellent Syrah with spice and ripe black plums. Good length.

Clean and strong at this age. Bold cherries and rich fruit. Sweet but enough extra complexity to not have the sweet become distracting.

This is just wow. Strong, straight, powerful. Excellent.

Nice but without any complexity. Typical dark cheries.

Nice delightful wine. A Velvety wine that is easy on the palette, taste like dark cherries. In love with this wine!
