On the nose: a rich old man's meat cellar
On the tongue: a rich old man's favorite cherry chutney
You get used to the old man after he hangs out a bit, though.

Black fruit, smoked meat and herbs on the nose. Soft tannins and a very rich taste with a lingering sweetness. I suspect my nose/palate was a bit off and wish I had another bottle to compare with in a few weeks or so.
