Somehow I missed drinking this rosé when it was a few years younger, but it’s held up surprising well. Typically I like my rosé crisp and Provençal in style - despite folks continually trying to broaden my pink horizons. This one is not that. Made in the saignée method from Cab Franc and Merlot, it’s oozy and spherical - tasting of rhubarb and macerated strawberries. A lovely showing from May-Britt Malbec’s Lake County label - and tasting well with the home roasted beets that have left my hands burnt and magenta.
