2020 Sauvignon Blanc from this obscure Loire tiny region. Every time I fancy myself as a Loire expert, I get sideswiped by something new and unexpected. This is a lean green restraint driven marvel. Chives, basil, underripe papaya on nose. White snd pink grapefruit rinds with lime peel mid palate. Everything is being held back with extreme tension. Finishes with the slightest hint of passion fruit which lingers for a minute or more, Impressive, bitter, intense, intriguing.
