Creating a good Zin requires a particular finesse, which I don't think this had.

AVV is always so solid especially for the price point of all of their wines. Even their high end Cyrus for $60 is a fantastic value. Nice fruit a little spice and nice finish.

Good body, great flavor - fruit forward with licorice, currant and some perhaps strawberry. Does well with decanting/aeration.
