In a blind taste test of 5 Merlots this $7 bottle took down #2. I got red fruits and lightly spiced meat with medium tannins.

Very cherry. Fruit forward. Peppery mouth feel, slight tanin. Pretty sweet. 6.99 @ joes. Would probably not buy again
