Albert Grivault
Clos du Murger Bourgogne Chardonnay
Burgundy, France
Hasn’t changed an awful lot over the last few years. Still fresh and savoury and saline and very tasty. Creamy and round upon opening, more mineral and energetic after a day in the fridge.

Even better than I remembered.
Overachiever++
And still available at the local Leclerc supermarket. Run, don’t walk.

This Bourgogne Blanc (young vines from Meursault) is more about structure and minerality than about fruit expression. Which I like. Smoke, flint, herbs and spices, wet rocks. Savory and saline. Touches of grapefruit and green pine-apple. Crisp yet serious.
A great wine, full of finesse and hidden power. Drinking great right now.

When you want Meursault quality for a BB price this is a great choice. Young but all ready very good and so ready for the future!

Scents of vanilla butter and popcorn lead into the acid driven palate with yellow citrus fruits. Good way to start the weekend!
