Quite deep ruby, bright pink rim. Pretty oaky at the beginning , then ripe cherry , red plum and some spice . On the palate quite astringent acidity and tannin , with similar fruits profile on the nose , ripe deeper fruits , cherry and plum . With time there is better integration , and a slight mineral , chalky , spiced tinged finish . It is not all that long and slightly warm . This is difficult to read at the moment , oak is quite prominent and the palate disjointed . Needs time obviously so come back in 5-10 years, though don’t hold your breath for a superior wine.
