The 07 started slow. A lot of black earth and muted fruits with the first glass. After about an hour decant, the fruit started to shine. Strawberries, cherries, cranberries, pomegranate, cherry Lifesavers, Christmas cake, mid strength minerals, moist black earth, very light baking spices and oak. Medium finish and acidity. Wine started at an 8.6-8.7 but finished in the 8.8-9.0 range.
