Candied notes of strawberry and cherries on nose. Bright red fruit on the balanced palate followed by a very nice finish.

Bright red purple. Red beet and cherry marzipan on the nose. Plums and black fruit on the palate. Medium body. Medium plus acidity. Medium tannins. Excellent value entry-level wine from the house of Brumont.

A Merlot and Tannat 50-50 Blend from France. Nice and smooth with a pleasant bouquet. Never had a wine with Tannat before.

Don't know him personally, but Adam Mahler below nailed the description. WBA $12 @ Spec's Memorial.

An unusual wine. Right out of the bottle I thought it was bitter; after a pass through an aerator it was smoother; very dry, woody notes rather than fruity. The nice surprise was the next day: lots of different notes & flavors, more complex. Would buy again.

2013 vintage. Delicious and summery. Tastes great with roasted cornish game hen and mediterranean rice.
