This is 100% Pinot noir has very pretty red cherry fruit a light smoky notes and some fresh earth and truffle like notes very fine smooth silky tannins and a firm hand of acidity very light but has lots of nuance and a long finish excellent a very savory style of Pinot noir with a unique personality of etna

Getting there up in age. But this is the most full bodied Pinot I have ever had. Spicy, great minerality.

The first wine of our wine progression dinner with Gino and Tia. Such an amazing Pinot from Mnt. Edna that doesn’t taste like a Pinot. So spicy, minerally and rich dark fruit that resembles a high end Southern Rhone. Paired phenomenally with the peach caprese, the varsi salami and the Jarlsberg cheese.

Earthy dry Pinot with a grippy finish. From the slopes of Mnt Edna, Italy. On my bucket list. Interestingly, this time I didn’t pick up as much body as previously. That makes wine so interesting.

Had it a few months ago and it was awesome! So ordered a few more bottles. And it is still awesome. Spicy, deep penetrating flavors and amazing amount of body for a Pinot. From Sicily!

Earthy, spicy Pinot with plenty of body. From the slopes of Mnt. Edna, Sicily of all places. No idea that you can make a Pinot in that part of the world. What an eye opener. The flavor reminded of the Pinot’s from Central Otago, NZ. (Who knows when we can go back there again). This one was more minerally and strong notes of white pepper . Amazingly good. And still plenty vibrancy, backbone for this 2012 vintage. Surprise of the month!
