May 10th, 20152011. Upon opening the nose is dominated by a strange, uncanny cigar tobacco aroma. This blows off somewhat relatively quickly to morph into a styrofoam mineral and honeyed pear, tarte tatin and graphite aromas. The herbaceousness is really pronounced to my palate; I wonder if it is perhaps stems in this vintage? The 2012 Anjou was much more alluring. This is nothing at all like the 07 tasted in 2011.
