Feb 9th, 2017Color of beautiful clear light gold. Nose of a hint of chocolate, pineapple, ripe apple, salty bacon, and oaky barrel fragrance. Taste of bombing and dense sweetness, light round acidity and spice, creamy, zesty, nutty, citrus and mango, and dried apricot. Aftertaste is peppery, bittersweet, with subtle lime zest. Awesome.

Feb 26th, 2016Adelaida Cellars 2016 HMR Estate Chardonnay ($40): This is one of those Chardonnays you do not want to serve too cold […like refrigerator cold]. Cellar temperature (55°) brings out the wine’s charming personality, lovely texture, and inviting aromas [bigly!]. Grown at higher elevations in chalk-rock soils, flavors of apple tart, fresh melon, puff pastry and lemon curd are framed by subtle notes of toasty brioche and sweet oak. A fine mineral-tinged acidity provides balance and lift. Put this one on your wine radar; it is a really nice example of Paso Chardonnay. #UnexpectedPaso #Chardonnay #AdelaidaCellars #wine #winelover #PasoRobles #wineconsumer #winewriter #myvinespot
