Dark purple red. Some wood and funk on the nose, maybe a hint of volatile acidity (VA, ethyl acetate or nail polish remover). Cherry berry notes in mouth, bitter cherry skin finish. Like many tintos, this needs time to open. Some plum eventually comes out in the mouth but you'll need patience

Pleasing, well rounded blend (Trincadeira, Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Castelão). Good with robust cheeses (sheep, goat, mature cow, truffles). Definitely does need decanting.
